Oil on canvas, variation on the theme of the horizon and winter composed of blues, whites and grays. Subtle, the yellow allows the gaze to embrace the pictorial plane as a whole.

I produced this work, facing the sea, in my studio in Anse-au-Griffon. Although abstract, this abstract work is inspired by the landscapes of Gaspésie in winter.

The bluish tone covers the Gulf of St. Lawrence and opens the eye to the horizon. We can imagine the ice banks being cradled by the sea and see the snow blowing up in gusts as the wind blows and forming an immaculate veil.

In this painting we feel all the power of nature and the soothing properties of pastels.
